The Process

PREPARING FOR YOUR DOT EXAM
1. Bring a current list of all medications and vitamins you take.
2. Stay hydrated. A urine sample is required to check for glucose (sugar) and protein.
3. Bring your driver’s license, glasses or hearing aids if you use them, and any required medical documentation.
4. If you use a CPAP machine or take insulin, bring your required compliance report or medical forms with you.

EXAM
During your DOT medical exam, we’ll review your health history, perform a UA - urine glucose screening, check your vital signs, and complete a thorough physical examination to determine if you meet FMCSA medical requirements.
POST-EXAM
• Physical copy of your DOT medical card
• Completed paperwork emailed to you
• Electronic submission to the FMCSA National Registry and the State
